People in Cambodia are really friendly and also helpful. So you can easy to communicate with them if you can speak Khmer and if you cannot speak Khmer you can also speak English because there are many Cambodian who can speak English.

Detail Itinerary :
Day 1
Siem Reap Arrival (D)

Arriving at Siem Reap airport, you will be met and driven to your hotel. The day’s activities will be devoted to the Angkor Temple complex, of which Angkor Wat is a key element. You’ll explore Angkor Wat itself, the largest, and for most people, the most impressive temple in the complex. As dusk nears, a walk to the summit of Phnom Bakheng Hill will afford a panorama of the whole complex lit by the rays of the setting sun, weather permitting of course. Your overnight accommodation will be in Siem Reap.

Day 2
Early Angkor and Local Ecology (Cycling) (B/L)

At first light and an early breakfast, you will start the day at 7am cycling with your guide to see the Rolouse temple group, the dawn of Angkor. From there, an unmade road takes you to Kampong Pluk floating village, about 13km or so ahead. On the way, you’ll see the daily life of Cambodian people living a cyclical existence of annual floods and droughts, rice fields, buffalos and simple dwellings. On arrival at the pier, your guide will help you to pack your car onto the boat to head to Kampong Pluk. It’ll take about an hour to reach the village where lunch will waiting on floating house. After lunch and relaxation, you will try your hand at paddling a small canoe through flooded mangrove forests and its variety of indigenous wildlife and birds. Later in the afternoon you’ll return to Siem Reap via Chon Kneas, another floating village en-route. Hopefully the weather will allow you enjoy a view of the sunset across Tonle Sap, the ‘Great Lake’ and Asia’s largest freshwater lake. From there, you can ride back to Siem Reap, a journey of about 17km, or if you are feeling a bit puffed, we can arrange a vehicle to take you back to your hotel.

Day 3
Siem Reap Discovery (B/L)

After breakfast, you will begin with a visit to Angkor Thom, starting with the Bayon, a bizarre structure of several architectural changes reflecting a switch from Hinduism (the foundations) to Buddhism (the superstructure). Your next visit will be to the Elephant and Leper Emperor Terraces, followed by the Baphoun Temple, which is now nearing the end of an eight-year multi-million dollar restoration program. You will then visit Ta Prohm, strangled by massive tree roots and typical of the condition of the whole complex when it was discovered in 1860 by French naturalist Henri Mouhot, and Neak Pean, a Himalayan-style lake and sanctuary, Preah Khan who the name of sword. Your overnight accommodation will be in Siem Reap.

Day 4

After breakfast, you will be driven around Siem Reap town. There, you will transfer to visit the “Chantiers Ecoles – Les Artisans d’Angkor” which provides training to young Cambodians in an effort to revive the ancient Khmer traditions of stone carving and wood sculpting. Stroll around the local market afterwards and visit at Silk Farm of Phouk. The silk Farm is a fascinating farm/workshop where you can see the entire silk creation process including growing the food for the silk worms (mulberry bushes), breeding the worms…. If you wish, an ox-cart ride can be arranged for you in the village of Aranh, about 6km away from Siem Reap on the way to Tonle Sap Lake. The village is a poorer community where ox-cart rides for tourists have just been arranged by local tourism authority with the aim to contribute some income to the villagers. The ride lasts for about 30 minutes along the bank of the Siem Reap River passing by local houses where you will learn about local people and their daily life. You’ll cross a small bridge to the other side of the river and end up with a nice rural scenery and paddy-field. Take the late afternoon flight to Phnom Penh., upon arrival our guide and driver will bring you to hotel for formality check in. Your overnight accommodation will be in Phnom Penh.

Day 5
Phnom Penh – Killing Field (B/)

In the morning, you will be picked up and driven to the so-called ‘Killing Fields’. The term is a misnomer because it implies a single location. In reality, the process of genocide under the Kh’mer Rouge involved a large network of interrogation prisons linked to extermination centres. The most infamous is Phnom Penh’s S-21 Prison and the Choeung Ek extermination centre. Choeung Ek, the ‘killing fields’, was the final destination of nearly all the inmates of S-21. The helpless victims were slaughtered in their thousands and thrown into more than a hundred shallow burial pits dug by the prisoners. The total number of men, women and children buried at Choeung Ek is estimated to be around 15,000. It was one of many extermination centres spread across the entire country – and by no means the largest! A visit to Tuol Sleng and Choeung Ek presents a stark picture of Cambodia’s recent past. However, it’s also a profoundly harrowing experience and likely to distress anyone of a sensitive disposition. After lunch, you’ll visit the National Museum and the Royal Palace and Silver Pagoda, followed by a sunset cruise on the Chatomouk River. Your overnight accommodation will be in Phnom Penh.
