Entrance fees at some monuments and museums from January 1, 2025

Starting from January 1, 2025, the entrance fee to the Thang Long Imperial Citadel site will increase to 100,000 VND per person per visit, while the Hanoi Museum will charge an entrance fee for the first time.

The Thang Long - Hanoi Heritage Conservation Center has announced that from January 1, 2025, the entrance fee for the Thang Long Imperial Citadel Central Area will rise from 70,000 VND per person per visit to 100,000 VND per person per visit. This fee will apply to both Vietnamese and international visitors.

In particular, the site will still offer discounts for certain groups, such as: free entry for children under 16 years old and those with severe disabilities. A 50% discount will be applied to people with disabilities, elderly people over 60 years old, students aged 16 and above, individuals benefiting from cultural privileges, people from particularly disadvantaged areas, revolutionaries, disabled people, elderly people living alone, and students from ethnic boarding schools.

Additionally, starting from January 1, 2025, the Thang Long - Hanoi Heritage Conservation Center will open the Hanoi Flagpole (Ky Dai) for visitors. The Hanoi Flagpole, recently transferred from the Ministry of Defense to the Thang Long - Hanoi Heritage Conservation Center on December 25, is one of the symbols of the capital. The opening of this site will provide an opportunity for visitors to experience and learn about this special historical monument.

Also, the Hanoi Museum has announced the entrance fees, which will be effective from January 1, 2025, in accordance with Resolution No. 44/2024/NQ-HĐND dated December 10, 2024, by Hanoi's People's Council regarding the collection of fees for visiting cultural, historical sites, and museums in Hanoi.

Specifically, starting from January 1, 2025, the Hanoi Museum will charge an entrance fee of 30,000 VND per person per visit. Children under 16 years old, and people with severe disabilities will be exempt from the fee as per current regulations.

The Hanoi Museum will also offer a 50% discount on entrance fees for eligible groups, elderly people, people with severe disabilities, and students.

According to Resolution No. 44/2024/NQ-HĐND dated December 10, 2024, from January 1, 2025, the entrance fee for visiting the 22 Hang Buom relics and the Heritage House at 87 Ma May, Hoan Kiem District, will be 20,000 VND per person per visit. The fee collection will be directly managed by the Hoan Kiem Lake Management Board and Hanoi Old Quarter Management Board.

The Center for the Preservation of the Ancient Capital of Hue has also announced changes to the ticketing system for visiting sites within the Complex of Hue Monuments starting from January 1, 2025.

According to Resolution 27/2024/NQ-HĐND dated November 15, 2024, by the People's Council of Thua Thien Hue Province, the Center for the Preservation of the Ancient Capital of Hue will start charging entrance fees for visiting the Dục Đức King's Tomb (An Cuu Ward, Hue City). The entrance fee for adults will be 50,000 VND per person per visit, and children (up to 12 years old) will be exempt from the fee. This fee will be applied from January 1, 2025. Previously, this site was free for visitors.
